For the eighth time in the last nine years, The College of Wooster volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.

The Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 grade-point average during the academic year. Wooster was one of 143 NCAA Div. III programs honored by the AVCA, and one of four among the North Coast Athletic Conference member institutions.

Individually, five of Wooster's upperclassmen student-athletes carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, and were honored earlier this summer with NCAC Academic Honor Roll certificates. The Fighting Scots' quintet included recently graduated seniors Savannah Moore and Brittany Nicholson.
