Wooster Sweeps Aside Allegheny

The College of Wooster volleyball team was clicking on all cylinders and swept aside Allegheny College 25-22, 25-15, 22-10 on Wednesday evening at Meadville, Pa.

Wooster (13-3, 2-1 North Coast Athletic Conference) was paced up front by junior Ksenia Klue's nine digs on 10 swings with no errors. Senior Lydia Webster added eight kills while classmate Anna Emmick had seven. Notable, Wooster only had 10 attack errors on the night and hit .265 for the match.

Defensively, sophomore Gabrielle Basinski led the way with 12 digs while sophomore Jordan Murray added six digs. Webster led the way up front with five blocks, while Klue had four on the night.

Junior Taylor Mathews dished out 21 assists to go along with five digs and two aces. Freshman Kyana Harris added seven assists off of the bench.

Next, Wooster plays host to fifth-ranked Wittenberg University (8-3, 2-0 NCAC) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
