Jordan Murray

Senior Jordan Murray of The College of Wooster was one of the two runners-up for PrepVolleyball.com's Unsung Hero of the Week, it was announced by the website on Wednesday afternoon.

Wooster was facing match point in the fifth set against Case Western Reserve University on Saturday when Murray stepped up to the service line and fired up an ace. Murray's subsequent serves bumped Wooster's lead out to 15-14 during an eventual 20-18 win in the set.

Murray tallied 18 digs during the five-set win to pair with three assists and two aces.

Wooster topped CWRU 22-25, 28-26, 17-25, 25-16, 20-18 to close the regular season at 14-12.

Wooster takes on Denison University (11-14) at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 in the first-round of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament at Wittenberg University's Pam Evans Smith Arena.
