Plassard Earns All-Conference Honors

NCAC All-Conference Release

The College of Wooster's Ashley Plassard was named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference second-team, as announced by the conference office between the first and second round of the NCAC Tournament on Friday.

Plassard ended the regular season second in the conference in blocks at 1.05 per set and was 14th with 2.55 kills per set. The middle hitter ranked in the top 10 league-wide in hitting percentage at .270 and served up 25 aces.

Plassard had a career-day during Wooster's come from behind 3-2 win over Grove City College during the season-opening weekend. In that match, Plassard logged a career-high 13 kills to pair with a career-best 10 blocks.

The senior went on to up her career-high in kills to 16 during a sweep over Penn State Erie, The Behrend College on Sept. 8, and capped the Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic with 18 kills versus the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford.

In league play, Plassard logged at least four blocks in each match but one, headlined by eight versus Hiram College. The senior's season-high in kills during league play (13) came at Kenyon College.
