The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced The College of Wooster volleyball team as a recipient of the Team Academic Award for the 2018-19 season.

The Scots were one of a record-breaking 1,125 teams to earn the award, up from the 977 from last year.

The award honors collegiate and high school teams that maintained at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. It is the single largest award offered by quantity of schools, players and coaches honors.

175 teams in Division III earned the award.
