Angie Bos

Angie Bos, an associate professor and the associate dean for experiential learning at The College of Wooster, enters year 15 as a member of the school’s volleyball staff in 2022. In addition to her coaching abilities, she is especially valuable in helping players balance their academics and athletics.

On the court, Bos was an outside hitter and defensive specialist while at NCAA Div. II University of Minnesota Morris, where she also was active in Junior Olympic volleyball.

At Wooster, Bos previously chaired the political science department, and she instructs a broad range of courses in United States national politics, such as political psychology, campaigns and elections, media and politics, public opinion, gender and politics, and research methods. In addition to researching these areas, she engages in research regarding civic education and political participation.

Bos, who completed her Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota, and her husband, Bas van Doorn, live in Wooster with their children, Liam and Naomi.
