College of Wooster sophomores Kevin DeGroot and Erin Plews-Ogan earned the North Coast Athletic Conference men's and women's Runner of the Week honors, respectively, after notching solid finishes against mostly Div. II teams during the Fighting Scots Festival.

DeGroot, who has been among the men's cross country team's top runners this fall, led all Scots in the five-mile race with a 21st-place finish (27:20). Plews-Ogan, who has yet to finish outside Wooster's top-three in a race this season, crossed 16th overall in the women's 5K with a time of 19:39.

This event was the final tune-up for the Scots before they travel to Crawfordsville, Ind. for the NCAC Championships this Saturday.
