The College of Wooster's men's and women's cross country squads were both named as All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and two individuals – senior Lauren Buyan and sophomore Kayla Zboran – picked up individual all-academic honors, the coaches organization announced on Wednesday.

For Wooster's women's program, it marks the 10th time in 11 years it has earned the USTFCCCA's All-Academic Team award, and similarly, the Fighting Scot men have now been honored nine of the last 10 seasons.

Buyan, a neuroscience major who also collected academic all-district accolades from the College Sports Information Directors of America last year, was Wooster's top women's finisher most of the 2014 season, including 24th at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.

Zboran, who is majoring in music, took 26th in the conference, then edged Buyan at the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Region Championships, as the duo came in 61st and 62nd, respectively.

The USTFCCCA's annual all-academic awards go to teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater, while individuals are recognized when they have at least a 3.30 GPA and finished among the top 25 percent of runners at NCAA regional competitions.
