The College of Wooster raced side-by-side against runners from nearly every collegiate program in the Buckeye State on Friday afternoon as part of the annual All-Ohio Championships held at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio, as the Fighting Scots placed 10th among 17 Div. III scoring teams on the men's side and 15th of 17 in the women's race.

Named after the long-time Cedarville University head track and cross country coach, Elvin R. King, harriers from all three NCAC divisions plus NAIA and junior colleges competed at the renowned course, which was established in October of 2006.

For the men, junior David Westcott navigated the championship-length 8,000-meter course in 26:41.9 – a season-best – to finish as the top Scot overall and 28th among Div. III competitors, trailing just 12 seconds outside of All-Ohio contention.

Classmate Jackson Feinknopf followed closely behind with a clip of 26:50.4 as he bettered his effort from 2016's championship by over a minute-and-a-half.

Junior Brian Lief clocked in at 27:32.0 for a top-three team finish, followed by senior Geoffrey Carney-Knisely at 28:10.1.

Rounding out Wooster's top-seven were first-year Jackson Todd (28:36.0), sophomore Miki Rae (28:41.8), and first-year Aidan Enright (29:12.8).

On the women's side, first-year Zoe Covey shined as the top team runner, traversing the 6,000-meter course in 24:29.6, finishing just ahead of senior Mackenzie Kellar (24:38.8) and fellow first-year Emma Busch (25:19.6).

Sophomore Cobi Warstler was the fourth Scot to finish, coming in at 25:29.6, just a few strides ahead of senior Ashley Ferguson, who wrapped up Wooster's scoring performances with a time of 25:31.3.

First-year Reaghan Beaver (26:25.2) and sophomore Audrey Cordova (26:39.6) rounded out Wooster's top-seven among the 139 Div. III competitors.

Up next, Wooster travels to Granville, Ohio for the Denison Dual meet on Thursday, Oct. 5.
