Men’s Top-Three Trio, Kellar’s Third-Place Claim Lead Wooster at Twilight 5K

WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster claimed the top three men's spots and senior Mackenzie Kellar put in a third-place performance on the women's side as the men's and women's cross country teams prepped for next week's Great Lakes Regional Championships with the annual Twilight 5K at John P. Papp Stadium.

Junior Jackson Feinknopf, fresh off his first All-North Coast Athletic Conference performance, won the men's race in 15:37.6. Classmate Brian Lief trailed slightly at 15:41.8, good for runner-up honors, and first-year Matt Klonowski placed third in 15:57.4.

Other top-10 individuals included senior Geoffrey Carney-Knisely in sixth-place (16:11.2), sophomore Miki Rae in seventh-place (16:16.9), and first-year Jackson Todd in 10th-place (16:24.5).

On the women's side, Kellar's top-10 time of 19:07.9 was joined by first-year Emma Busch's ninth-place clip of 19:29.3.

First-year Zoe Covey placed 15th overall (19:46.7), followed by senior Ashley Ferguson, who crossed .1 seconds at 19:46.8. Sophomore Cobi Warstler rounded out Wooster's top-25 runners with a 22nd-place time of 20:03.3.

Up next, Wooster competes at the NCAA Div. III Great Lakes Regional Championships at Delaware, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 11.
