The College of Wooster's men's and women's cross country teams were among the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches All-Academic Teams, which were announced by the organization on Thursday.
On the women's side, Wooster's now earned the All-Academic Team award in 16 of the last 17 seasons, while the men's honor marked the program's 15th in the last 16 years. Wooster's women had a 3.65 GPA, while the men checked in at 3.17.
Criteria for the team honor includes posting a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale and compiling a team score at the NCAA regional meet, with the athletic component waived for this year due to COVID-19. The organization did not award individual honorees this year. Those typically must have a 3.30 GPA and a finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
