Callender, Hoover Honored by NCAC Again

Isabelle Hoover, Will Callender, Wooster cross country For the second time this year, The College of Wooster cross country team's Will Callender and Isabelle Hoover collected North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

Callender, a sophomore who earned the honor for the second consecutive week, broke the tape in a 5K dual meet against NCAC rival Denison University on Thursday. Callender's time of 16:46.6 was tops in the field by :26.2.

Hoover, now a 10-time NCAC Athlete of the Week, led the women's 5K field to the finish with a time of 20:41.5. The blue-ribbon showing marked Hoover's third in a Wooster-Denison cross country dual, and she was the top finisher each time she competed in the race. Hoover's most recent NCAC Athlete of the Week honor prior to this one came back on September 6.

Wooster returns to action at the Muskingum University Invitational on Saturday, October 1. The meet is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.
