Ashley Reid assumed a blended position between athletics and the dean of students' office in August 2021. Within the athletics department, Reid's the associate director of athletics with a focus on student-athlete welfare. As interim associate dean, Reid is the dean for the class of 2022 as well as Posse mentor for the class of 2025.

Prior to her current appointment, Reid was elevated to associate director of athletics and chair of the physical education department in July 2019. In that role, Reid was involved with all of the athletic department’s day-to-day operations while also serving as a sport supervisor for 12 of the school’s 23 varsity teams. 

Among her various administrative duties prior to the blended position, Reid fostered systems of communication between athletics and other campus offices on matters of academic success, inclusion, and diversity. She worked with admissions and coaching staffs for the recruitment, retention, and graduation of a diverse student-athlete population and worked with key campus partners on events and initiatives that positively affect the overall cultural climate of the College. Reid also served as the department’s senior woman administrator (SWA), and her duties included compliance and internal management.

A staple at Wooster since 2006, Reid transitioned into an administrative role in June 2015 as the assistant athletic director for diversity, inclusion, compliance, and internal management. Prior, she spent nine seasons with the women's basketball program, which included a five-year run as the head coach.

Before Wooster, Reid was a four-year starter for the Division II women’s basketball program at Walsh University. She left as the all-time leading scorer and was a first-team all-American Mideast Conference selection three times. She was an honorable mention selection for Kodak's All-America team as a senior.

Reid is a 2004 graduate from Walsh who received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. Following college, she briefly taught in the Canton City School District before focusing on a career in college athletics.

In 2011, Reid was inducted into Walsh’s Athletic Wall of Fame.

Professionally, Reid holds membership in the National Association of Division III Athletics Administrators, Minority Opportunities Athletic Association, and Women Leaders in College Sports. She participated in the prestigious NCAA Pathway Program during the 2019-20 academic year and was NADIIIAA's Transitioning Athletic Administrator award recipient in 2019.

Originally from Zanesville, Ohio, where she led Philo High School to its first-ever state tournament appearance in girls basketball, Reid currently resides in Ashland with her husband, Sheldon, and their children, Kayla and Derrick.
