Crum's Hot Bat Lands First Baseman as NCAC Hitter of the Week

Senior Garrett Crum's contributions during the 15th-ranked College of Wooster baseball team's sweep over ninth-ranked Denison University on Saturday caught the attention of the North Coast Athletic Conference, which tabbed the standout first baseman as its Hitter of the Week on Monday.

Crum went 6-for-9 during the sweep with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs scores, as the Fighting Scots moved into first-place in the NCAC. Overall, Crum was 10-for-14 over three Wooster wins last week.

Crum logged a significant achievement during Wooster's 16-9 game-one win against Denison. The senior's fourth-inning double upped his hitting streak to 20 games, and it's the 12th such streak in program history. During his current 21-game run, Crum's hitting .563 (49-for-87) with 33 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Wooster's currently in action at the University of Mount Union.
