Aeon Blake

  • Title:
    Asst. Coach (DL)

Aeon Blake is entering year three overseeing the Fighting Scots’ defensive line. In August 2021, Blake took on additional responsibilities as the assistant strength and conditioning coordinator for the athletics department.

In his first season at the College, Blake saw two of his starting linemen earn All-NCAC honors, with defensive tackle D'Andre Brown earning a second straight first-team certificate, a first by any player in the program since the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

No stranger to Div. III, Blake’s spent four years coaching within the division, most recently a two-year stint at Heidelberg University, where defensive tackle Austin Crow was a consensus All-America selection in 2017, and the Student Princes finished eighth nationally with 3.6 sacks per game. Prior to Heidelberg, Blake spent two seasons at North Carolina Wesleyan College and a year at Div. II Chowan University, and he coached the defensive line at both stops.

As a student-athlete, Blake began his career at Mendocino College and transferred to Chowan, where he earned All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association second-team honors in 2013.

Blake graduated from Chowan with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, and furthered his education with a master's degree in education and leadership during his time at Heidelberg.
