Jesse Williams

Jesse Williams, a recent graduate of Berry College, where he served as a student assistant on the 2017 NCAA Div. III Championships qualifying team, enters his third season at The College of Wooster. Williams coaches the Scots' wide receivers after mentoring the strong safeties in his first season at the College.

Williams' impact coaching in the Scots' 4-2-5 secondary was felt from day one, as Wooster went on to have three of its five defensive backfield starters named to the all-conference team. In 2019, senior Nick Strausbaugh capped his career as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (3,178) and touchdowns (31).

At Berry, Williams assisted with the cornerbacks for the 2017 season, and as a team Berry ranked fourth nationally in red zone defense, and advanced to the second round of the Div. III championships. Prior to serving as a student assistant, Williams was a special teams contributor for the Vikings.

He graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology.
