Greencastle, Ind. -- The College of Wooster field hockey team could not connect on any of its shots as they fell to DePauw University 1-0 on Sunday in North Coast Athletic Conference play.

Kate Milner's goal in the 38th minute was the difference maker. DePauw came out aggressive in the second half, attempting three shots in the first three minutes. Goalkeeper Katie Shideler stopped Milner's first shot in the 37th minute but couldn't stop her next.

For Milner, it was her eighth goal of the year and sixth in NCAC play, which leads the conference.

Wooster had chances in the final minutes to tie it up but had all three shots on goal saved by Hannah Metzger, who finished with 10 saves for the Tigers.

Caitlyn O'Connor had two chances including one right in front of the net, while Sammi Pavlecic had the Scots' last chance to score in the 69th minute.

Shideler finished with eight saves in the loss. DePauw outshot 15-12. Wooster could not capitalize on its 13 penalty corners.

Wooster is 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the NCAC. Yesterday, they defeated Earlham 2-1. DePauw is now 3-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
