WOOSTER, Ohio -- The College of Wooster men's soccer team defeated Bluffton University 4-1 on Wednesday after three second half goals allowed the Scots to run away with a victory.

Wooster led early after a goal in the 17th minute from sophomore Evan Lewandowski put the Scots up 1-0. His shot hit the bottom of the crossbar, and the ball managed to cross the line.

The Scots took the 1-0 lead into halftime until Bluffton's Dalton Taynor answered in the 52nd minute. Taynor intercepted a pass from keeper Will Collis, beat a defender and scored to tie it up.

That lead was short-lived thanks to Jack Whitehouse's 25-yard cross to Paulo Nunes in the 56th minute as Nunes received the pass in front of the net and scored. For Nunes, it was his first goal of the season.

Wooster did not let up from there. In the 79th minute junior Will Yakubik headed in his second goal of the season shortly after a corner kick. Three minutes later Andreas Xenofontos found freshman Jack Giloth for Giloth's third goal of the season.

Wooster outshot Bluffton 28-1. They also had all six corner kick opportunities. Collis picked up his fourth win as goalie.

Wooster is now 4-3-2, while Bluffton drops to 1-8. Wooster will return to North Coast Athletic Conference play Saturday when they take on Ohio Wesleyan University.
