BLUFFTON, Ohio – The College of Wooster men's soccer team closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule on Wednesday with a 5-0 win at Bluffton University.

The Scots scored back-to-back goals within six minutes of one another in the first half to pull ahead 2-0 before halftime.

On the first goal, sophomore Bennett Anderson found junior Andreas Xenofontos about five yards out from the goal for the easy score in the 28th minute. In the 34th minute, junior BJ Tally found classmate Max Hill on the opposite post for his second goal in as many games.

In the second half, Paulo Nunes found a streaking Manny Burton who scored near the right side of the goalie post. Just over a minute later, first-year Luca Napora scored off a miscue by the defense to record his first collegiate goal.

Later in the 84th minute, first-year Moody Saadi also scored his first goal as a Scot on a strike well outside the box.

As the score indicated, Wooster dominated this one from the beginning, outshooting the Beavers 24-9 and holding the corner kick advantage 8-4.

Senior Will Collis collected three saves in the win, and junior Hamilton Schattgen saw about 28 minutes of action and made one save in the process.

It was Wooster's third straight win as they move to 4-5 overall. They head into this weekend with its first North Coast Athletic Conference test at Wabash College.
