Ohio Wesleyan Remains On Top of NCAC With 2-0 Win Over Wooster

Ohio Wesleyan University remained undefeated in the North Coast Athletic Conference after a 2-0 win over The College of Wooster men's soccer team on Saturday.

The Battling Bishops scored once each half, breaking the scoreless tie in the 29th minute as Dom Calabrese received a lead pass from Hector Gomez to score. The score remained 1-0 into halftime and expanded to 2-0 in the 50th minute behind another Ohio Wesleyan goal from Adam Yingling.

Ohio Wesleyan's relentless offense outshot the Scots 22-7. Wooster had just one shot on goal. Senior Will Collis made four saves.

The win keeps Ohio Wesleyan (8-3-2, 3-0 NCAC) in a 3-way tie with Wabash College and Kenyon College for first place in the conference. Wooster (5-7) drops to 1-2 in the conference and tied for fifth with Hiram College, Denison University and Oberlin College.

Wooster will travel to Hiram on Wednesday.
