DI Cleveland State Too Much For Scots

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The College of Wooster men's tennis team had no luck against Division I Cleveland State University on Sunday, falling 7-0.

The Wooster doubles teams only managed three games among its doubles matches as No. 1 fell 6-0, No. 2 fell 6-2 and No. 3 fell 6-1.

The six singles matches fell in straight sets. Nathan Devereux had the toughest battle at the No. 4 flight with a comeback attempt falling short 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).

In the No. 1 flight, Austin Hanna fell 6-0, 6-0. Joaquin Abos Amo lost 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 2 flight, and at the No. 3 spot, Alon Liberman lost 6-2, 6-1.

Jesse DeWitt fell 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 5 spot, and Nebyou Minassie fell 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 6 flight.

Wooster drops to 3-4 overall, and Cleveland State moves to 9-6. 

Next, the Scots travel to DePauw on March 11.
