The College of Wooster men's tennis team fell to DePauw University in the quarterfinals of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday.
The third-seeded Tigers picked up two wins in doubles play to start the match, and that led them to a 5-2 win over the sixth-seeded Scots.
Wooster (7-13) did pick up a win in the No. 1 doubles flight as Austin Hanna and Alon Liberman defeated DePauw's No. 1 team 8-3. Yet, Wooster could not capitalize in the No. 2 and No. 3 flights, falling 8-5 and 8-2, respectively.
In singles play, Nathan Devereux gave Wooster its lone win at the No. 4 flight 6-0, 6-3.
DePauw (10-9) picked up the three singles wins it needed to conclude the match at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5. Joaquin Abos Amo's match at No. 1 and Jesse DeWitt match at No. 6 were left unfinished.
Wooster will now compete in the fifth-place match on Saturday to conclude its season. They will face Ohio Wesleyan University at 1 p.m.
