Cooke Named NCAC Softball Player of the Week

Sophomore Emmalee Cooke (Wakeman, Ohio) was recently named North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week after helping guide the Scots to their seventh straight win.

The Scots captured six wins last week, two from conference opponents Wittenberg University and Kenyon College and another two from John Carroll University.

After going 1-for-6 against Wittenberg, Cooke went 10-for-14 for the rest of the week, culminating in a .550 average. She finished with six runs atop the lineup and added three doubles, one triple, her first career home run and six RBI.

On the year, Cooke currently leads the team with a .434 average.

Wooster is 15-7 and will look to improve their 4-0 NCAC record Tuesday when they travel to Oberlin College.
