The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams swept aside the competition during a four-team dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Timken Natatorium. The Fighting Scots' men topped Hiram College 237-34, Notre Dame College (Ohio) 199-81, and Thomas More University 230-38, while the women beat the Terriers 222-32, Falcons 212-47, and Saints 214-32.

Wooster's quality depth was on display from the get-go, as the women claimed the top three spots in the 200 medley relay. Sophomore Hannah Langer, first-year Molly Likins, sophomore Leah Jorn, and senior Emma Fikse clocked the winning time of 1:52.67.

Wooster went on to claim the top three spots in six other events on the women's side. In the 100 backstroke, sophomore Michelle Sayre led the charge at 1:01.76, while Likins led the field in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.92) and 200 breaststroke (2:33.76). In the 200 backstroke, Langer's 2:13.94 marked the winning time by nearly six ticks on the stopwatch, while sophomore Anne Bowers led a trio of Scots to the wall in the 100 butterfly with a 1:02.50. Sophomore Madison Whitman's winning time of 2:22.66 in the 200 individual medley rounded out the winning times in events where Wooster finished first, second, and third.

Wooster, which won every event on the women's side, also had wins from sophomore Brooke Brown in the 50 freestyle (25.75) and 100 freestyle (57.74), Fikse in the 200 freestyle (2:02.22) and 500 freestyle (5:28.41), Bowers in the 200 butterfly (2:19.36), and junior Nell Kacmarek in the 1,000 freestyle (11:14.58).

Fikse, first-year Mia Chen, sophomore Claire Cerne, and sophomore Kate Murphy capped the meet by winning the 400 freestyle relay at 3:52.54.

Wooster's men's team was equally as impressive and kick-started the meet with the top four times in the 200 medley relay. Sophomore Josh Gluck, senior Burke Poeting, junior Trey Schopen, and senior Ryan Campbell delivered the winning effort at 1:40.07.

Campbell emerged as a quadruple winner when all was said and done thanks to blue-ribbon times of 49.20 in the 100 freestyle and 10:34.95 in the 1000 freestyle. Campbell capped the meet by anchoring Wooster's winning 400 freestyle relay (3:20.32), while senior Cameron Gelwicks, sophomore Wyatt Foss, and Schopen rounded out the winning quartet.

Schopen, a quadruple winner himself, took charge in the butterfly events with the winning times of 53.25 and 1:59.12 in the 100- and 200-yard races, respectively.

Other winners in men's swimming events included Poeting in the 50 freestyle (22.14), Gelwicks in the 200 (1:46.13) and 500 (4:58.19) freestyles, sophomore Craig Klumpp in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.91) and 200 breaststroke (2:20.73), and Gluck in the 200 backstroke (2:05.67).

Wooster will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 10 with a 1 p.m. dual meet at Westminster College (Pa.).
