NCAC Swimming & Diving Coaches of the Year Release

The College of Wooster's Rob Harrington was tabbed as the North Coast Athletic Conference's Men's Swimming Coach of the Year for the first time, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Harrington's Fighting Scots accumulated 1,000 points at the NCAC Championships for the first time in program history. Wooster logged a pair of all-conference relays, headlined by the 400 freestyle relay, which logged a NCAA Div. III "B" cut and school-record time of 3:03.21.

Individually, senior Cameron Gelwicks' 1:39.19 as the leadoff leg of the Scots' all-conference 800 freestyle relay ranked as a "B" cut, and that time was good enough to earn the freestyle specialist a berth in this month's NCAA Div. III Championships. Overall, Gelwicks broke three school records at the conference meet.

Harrington previously earned NCAC Women's Coach of the Year honors in 2012 and 2017.
