Cameron Gelwicks and Trey Schopen were recently named individual Scholar All-Americans by The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Gelwicks was one of the 1,221 first-team selections, while Schopen was one of the 890 honorable mention selections for the 2018-19 season.
Gelwicks was recognized for achieving a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competing at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Schopen also had at least a 3.50 GPA and achieved a "B" time standard to earn an honorable mention.r
In total, 282 teams placed at least one individual on the First or Second teams.
Fourteen Wooster swimmers recently qualified for the 2018-19 North Coast Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll as Wooster had a school record 106 student-athletes make the cut.
