The College of Wooster's Molly Likins is in the October 21-28 issue of Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" in recognition of the swimming and diving standout earning a pair of silver medals at the World Deaf Swimming Championships in August.
Likins touched second in the 50-meter breaststroke, during which she lowered her USA deaf record to 33.55. She later doubled up on silver medals with the second-place time of 1:14.36 in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Likins is now a holder of seven national records (four long-course meters and three yards) for events swam at national and international deaf competitions. She has a hearing impairment which leaves her completely deaf without her cochlear implants.
Wooster's had a number of student-athletes featured in "Faces in the Crowd" over the years, with the most recent being baseball All-American Jamie Lackner in 2016.
