GAMBIER, Ohio – The College of Wooster swimming and diving program officially kicked off its season at Saturday's Kenyon College Relays, where the women placed third and the men fourth.

The always-fun mixed 200 medley relay capped the day of relay action, and Wooster placed second in that race, although each team is only allowed one entry in that event. Junior Josh Gluck, sophomore Molly Likins, senior Trey Schopen, and junior Brooke Brown clocked in at 1:45.41.

Wooster's breaststroke depth on the women's side was evident from the get-go, as Likins, Brown, senior Heidi Likins, and junior Madison Whitman posted the third-place time of 2:11.40. The Scots also fared well in the 3x500 freestyle relay, as both the men and women had a top-seven finish. On the women's side, senior Nell Kacmarek, Whitman, and first-year Kay Wetmore touched fifth at 16:49.95, while junior Wyatt Foss, Schopen, and first-year Noah Golovan teamed up for a seventh-place showing on the men's side at 16:25.55.

Some of the Scots' other top finishes came in traditional relay events, including in the 200 freestyle relay, where Molly Likins, juniors Anne Bowers and Lexi Riley-DiPaolo, and Brown were fifth at 1:44.40. In the 200 medley relay, it was junior Hannah Langer, Likins, Bowers, and Brown joining up for the seventh-place time of 1:52.75.

On the men's side, Schopen, sophomore Graham Letkeman, senior Eli Samuelson, and Gluck were sixth in the 200 backstroke relay (1:43.10), while sophomore Sam Muse, junior Craig Klumpp, Gluck, and sophomore Doak Schultz finished in that spot in the 200 breaststroke relay (1:55.73).

Host Kenyon won the five-team relay meet.

Wooster's back in action next Saturday, when the Scots play host to Hiram College and Notre Dame College at 1 p.m.
