WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster swimming and diving team was in total control from start to finish on Saturday, as the Fighting Scots won 22 events during a tri-meet against Hiram College and Notre Dame College (Ohio) at Ellen Shapiro Natatorium. Wooster's men downed Hiram 240-6 and Notre Dame 184-94, while the women won 222-39 and 193-71 against the Terriers and Falcons, respectively.

Junior Josh Gluck and senior Trey Schopen were the quadruple winners on the day for the Scots. The standout duo helped Wooster capture first in the 200 medley relay, which posted a time of 1:40.60. Gluck was first to the finish in the 100 backstroke (54.26), 200 backstroke (1:59.23), and 200 individual medley (2:03.44), while Schopen led the field in the 100 butterfly (55.21), 200 butterfly (2:01.25), and 100 freestyle (50.44).

Sophomore Eric Jacques was unopposed on the one-meter diving board, and his 11-dive score of 402.8 wasn't that far off the NCAA Div. III regional qualifying standard of 425.

Wyatt Foss and Craig Klumpp rounded out the Scots' winning 200 medley relay, and both juniors added at least one individual blue ribbon on the day. Foss' 1:52.00 in the 200 freestyle was backed up by sophomore Graham Letkeman's runner-up time of 2:01.11. Klumpp won both the 100 (1:02.62) and 200 breaststrokes (2:17.95), and Wooster's depth in that stroke was especially evident in the 200-yard race, where Scots occupied the top six spots in the results.

Junior Brooke Brown, junior Anne Bowers, and sophomore Molly Likins book-ended their meets with first-place relay finishes. In the 200 medley relay, the trio was joined by junior Hannah Langer, and they went on to clock in at 1:51.44. Junior Lexi Riley-DiPaolo rounded out the winning 200 freestyle relay, which posted a time of 1:42.75, just over a second better than Notre Dame's top relay.

Individually, Brown took top honors in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.98), Bowers won the 100 butterfly (1:00.42), and Likins captured first in the 50 freestyle (25.34). Junior Kate Murphy took charge in the backstroke events by turning in the winning times of 1:01.86 and 2:15.43 in the 100- and 200-yard races, respectively.

Other first-place swims were logged by first-year Kay Wetmore in the 200 butterfly (2:15.04) and junior Madison Whitman in the 200 individual medley (2:18.56). First-year Lucie Redmann was unopposed on the one-meter board and tallied 141.25 points.

Next, Wooster swims against Malone University and Ursuline College on Friday, November 1 at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio.
