Partridge Makes Multi-Events Debut

OBERLIN, Ohio – The College of Wooster's Claudia Partridge made her collegiate debut in the multi-events at Sunday's North Coast Athletic Conference Combined Championships, which were held at Oberlin College. Partridge, who competed in the pentathlon, finished in ninth place with 2,321 points, 11 shy of the final scoring spot, which was claimed by Ohio Wesleyan University's Madison Manns, who had 2,332 points.

Partridge, who is one of Wooster's top jumpers, cleared 5 feet, 0.25 inch in the high jump, which was tied for third place. She logged a collegiate-best toss of 21 feet, 3.25 inches in the shot put, had a mark of 13 feet, 9.5 inches in the long jump, a time of 10.57 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, and a time of 2:56.33 in the 800 meters.

Ohio Wesleyan's Courtney Owens won the pentathlon with 3,388 points. The Battling Bishops will carry a conference-leading 11 points into the NCAC Championships, which are set for February 28-29 at Denison University.
