The College of Wooster women's golf team had the top-four finishers en route to cruising to the team title at the rain-shorted Earlham College Spring Invitational, which was cut to a single round on Friday at the Elks Lodge & Country Club in Richmond, Indiana.

Wooster shot a 338 on Friday, with that total ranking 30 strokes better than runner-up Manchester University's 368. Host Earlham rounded out the three-team field with a 396.

Sophomore Tongtong Wu captured medalist honors for the third time in her career with an 80 to lead the 17-competitor field. Wu's finished no lower than fourth-place during Wooster's three northern tournaments this spring.

Sophomore Megan Gronau fired an 83 to finish as the runner-up, while junior Kaci Carpenter was next at 86. Junior Hannah Appleman carded an 89 to finish tied for fourth-place, with sophomore Lilly Dunning's 92 rounding out the lineup. First-year Kayla Audette played as an individual and went on to match Dunning's 92.

Wooster's now won three tournaments this year. The Scots previously won the 14-team Heidelberg University Fall Invitational in September and the 10-team Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational in October.

Wooster's back in action on Sunday, April 28 for a dual match against Denison University.
