This Week's Outlook: The College of Wooster women's golf team heads to Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio for the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. The 54-hole tournament is set to open on Friday, May 3 and conclude on Sunday, May 5. Teams are slated to play 18 holes per day.

Tee Times: Friday's women's tee times start at 8:30 a.m., and pairings will be announced after the Golfstat rankings are updated. Tee times for the second and third rounds will be based on the team standings. The women's tee times start at 12:54 p.m. on No. 1 on Saturday and at 9:27 a.m. on No. 10 on Sunday.

Media Coverage: The student-athletes will be entering their scores throughout the tournament on Golfstat.

A Look-Back at the 2018 NCAC Championships: Wooster finished in fourth-place with 1,076 strokes at last year's NCAC Championships. Then-first-year Megan Gronau (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) posted a breakthrough showing with a team-low 265 on the weekend, which placed her 15th, and thus earned the rookie an all-conference certificate.

Expanding the Trophy Case: Wooster's picked up plenty of hardware throughout the 2018-19 season, as the Scots won a trio of tournaments. The Scots opened the season by winning the 14-team Heidelberg University Fall Invitational by 32 strokes in what marked the biggest win in program history in terms of field size. Next, Wooster closed the fall season by winning the 10-team Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational with a 671. That marked the first time the Scots won a tournament it hosted, and with a 44-stroke margin of victory, the largest in program history. The spring, Wooster won the three-team Earlham College Spring Invitational by 30 strokes.

Wu Continues to Showcase Consistency: Sophomore Tongtong Wu (Shenzhen, China/Rolling Hills Preparator (Calif.)) has collected a pair of medalist honors this year. She won the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational at 165, and her 80 was the lowest score at the rain-shortened Earlham Spring Invitational. This spring, Wu's been between 76 and 80 over her five stroke-play rounds on northern courses.

Appleman Goes Low: Junior Hannah Appleman (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) fired a 75 in the opening round of the Laura Bump Spring Invitational. That marked the lowest round in program history, and was one stroke better than five 76s in the program annals. Wooster's most recent 76s were logged by alumnae Hannah Buzolits and Victoria Roney at the 2017 Wooster Spring Invitational.

Scots Also Go Low: Wooster's 318 during the first round of the Laura Bump Spring Invitational also marked the lowest team round in program history. Wu was right behind Appleman's 75 with a 76, while sophomores Lilly Dunning (Wilmington, Ohio/Miami Valley School) and Gronau had rounds of 82 and 85, respectively.
