Wu, Gronau Earn All-NCAC Honors as Scots Finish Fourth at NCAC Championships

MANSFIELD, Ohio -- The College of Wooster women's golf team finished fourth of six teams as the North Coast Athletic Championships wrapped up Sunday at the Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield.

DePauw University won the event with a 649 edging out Wittenberg University's score of 653. Denison University was third with 679, and Wooster finished at 704, which was seven strokes ahead of fifth place Ohio Wesleyan University.

Tongtong Wu and Megan Gronau earned All-NCAC second team honors after tying for ninth with scores of 168 each. Gronau led the Scots on Sunday with an 82 after making par on nine holes on the day, while Wu followed with an 85.

Lilly Dunning and Hannah Appleman finished 21st and 22nd with scores of 183 and 185, respectively. Kaci Carpenter shot a 194 for 27th but did not factor into the team scoring.

DePauw's Larisa Luloff was the medalist with a 154 after shooting a 77 on both days. Wittenberg's Emmy Timberlake was one stroke behind in second.
