WOOSTER, Ohio – Senior Erica White scored twice to lead The College of Wooster women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Wittenberg University on Saturday.

White's first goal came off a rebound in the 27th minute. Shortly after a corner, junior Claire Davis' shot was blocked, and White was there to pick it up and score.

The senior then put the finishing touches on the game in the 83rd minute after a penalty kick. She was fouled in the box, and promptly put the ball in the left side of the net for the score.

White, the reigning North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, bumped her season tally to eight, which leads both the team and the conference.

Wooster was in control for a majority of the game, outshooting Wittenberg 17-3 and holding the corner kick advantage at 8-3. White took eight shots, and Davis took three.

Molly Hutter recorded the shutout, collecting two saves.

The Scots remain atop the NCAC standings at 3-0. They are 7-1-3 overall. Wittenberg dropped to 3-6-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the NCAC.

Wooster will travel to Kenyon College on Wednesday.
