WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster women's soccer team wrapped up its regular season with a 4-1 win against Thomas More College on Saturday.

The Scots got on the board fairly quickly after Miura Wiley scored her second goal of the season in the 15th minute. Senior Erica White had the ball near the top of the box and found Wiley on the right side for the assist.

Wooster took the 1-0 lead into halftime, but a corner kick resulted in Thomas More's first goal of the game in the 47th minute to tie it up. Brianna Lunsford scored the header in front of the net off the assist from Megan Sheridan from the corner.

Twenty minutes later White picked up a deflected pass and scored her 15th of the season and what would be the game-winner. She is now just one shy of tying the school record which is held by Cathie Docherty, who scored 16 goals in 1987.

Junior Krissy Blanchard scored two late goals to pad the Wooster lead, one in the 73rd minute and the other in the 86th. They were her third and fourth goals of the season.

On her first, she picked up a ball that bounced around the box following a free kick from Emma Lawrence. On her second, she beat the goalkeeper and scored on a tough one-on-one.

Maddy Ireton started in net and recorded one save. Molly Hutter entered when the game was at 1-1 and played the final 28 minutes for the win.

Wooster outshot Thomas More 16-4. Wooster improved to 11-3-3, while the Saints dropped to 5-12-1.

Denison University (12-2-2, 6-0-2 NCAC) defeated Ohio Wesleyan University 2-1 Saturday to claim the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season championship. Wooster, who finished 6-2 in conference play, locked down the No. 2 seed in the NCAC Tournament.

The last time the Scots finished second or higher in the conference was back in 2012.

Wooster will host No. 3 seed Kenyon College (8-5-3, 4-2-2) on Wednesday with a time TBA.
