Wooster to travel to Wheaton (Ill.) for NCAA Tournament

The College of Wooster women's soccer team earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships and will face Case Western Reserve University at first and second round host Wheaton College (Ill.).

Sixth-ranked Wheaton (16-1-2) plays Webster University (15-4-1) on the other side of the pod.

Wheaton and Webster will open play at noon (EST) before Wooster and Case takes the field at 2:30 p.m. (EST). The winners of both games will meet at 2 p.m. (EST) Saturday.

Wooster enters at 14-2-3 and enters after earning the automatic bid from winning its second North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. Case Western Reserve (13-5) is ranked 21st nationally and earned an at-large bid.

Historically, the teams have met 35 times, and Wooster holds a 16-13-6 series lead. They last met in 2018 when Case Western Reserve won 1-0 in overtime.

This will be Wooster's fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament. Last year they faced off against Centre College in the first round in a 4-0 defeat.
