Scots Move to 3-0 After 8-1 Win Over Baldwin Wallace

MEDINA, Ohio -- The College of Wooster women's tennis team stayed perfect on the season with an 8-1 win over Baldwin Wallace University.

The Scots benefited from two forfeits, one each coming from singles and doubles play. Wooster lost just three games collectively in doubles with the No. 1 team of Shannon Sertz and Qingyue Li winning 8-2 and the No. 2 team of Laura Haley and Sarah Duran winning 8-1.

Singles matches were determined in straight sets throughout the lineup. Li won 6-4, 6-2 in the premiere No. 1 flight over Ashtyn Morris.

Duran and Sertz won 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 2 and No. 3 flights, respectively. Haley took a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 4 flight, and at No. 5, Kendra Devereux fell 6-4, 6-1.

The Scots will host Mount Union on March 4.
