No. 12 Kenyon Sweeps Scots

GAMBIER, Ohio -- The College of Wooster women's tennis team struggled against No. 12 Kenyon College in a 9-0 loss Wednesday.

Qingyue Li had the best success against the Ladies. In her No. 1 singles match, she took Erika Oku to a 10-game pro third set but lost 1-6, 6-0, 10-3. Teaming with Shannon Sertz at the No. 1 doubles spot, they fell 8-4.

The No. 2 team of Sarah Duran and Laura Haley fell 8-1, and the No. 3 team of Emma Saxton and Meklit Minassie lost 8-0.

In singles action, Duran lost 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot. Sertz fell 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 spot, and Haley lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4.

In the No. 5 flight, Minassie lost 6-2, 6-0 and in the No. 6 spot Saxton fell 6-1, 6-1.

Kenyon is now 15-3 overall and 3-0 in the NCAC. Wooster is 10-5 and 1-2. The Scots host Indiana-Kokomo on Friday.
