The College of Wooster women's tennis team dropped a 5-0 match to 35th-ranked DePauw University on Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, which is being contested at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Wooster (11-6) fell behind 3-0 in doubles. Sophomores Sarah Duran and Laura Haley fell 8-2 at No. 2, while first-years Meklit Minassie and Emma Saxton were downed 8-3 at No. 3.

In singles, Haley dropped a 6-1, 6-3 match at No. 4 and Saxton was topped 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Wooster did have success in the top half of its singles lineup, in what resulted in a trio of unfinished matches. Sertz split sets, 2-6, 6-1, at No. 3, while Li posted a 6-2 set-one score out of the top flight.

Wooster will conclude its season against Wittenberg University (8-9) at 9 a.m. on Saturday in the NCAC Tournament fifth-place match.
