Wooster Announces Spring Sport Schedules - LAST UPDATED MAY 8

Scot Center
Bookmark this page for schedule updates for baseball, men's golf, women's golf, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, and outdoor track & field.

As shared in Director of Athletics & Physical Education Amy Heasley Williams' letter posted on January 27, 2021, our coaches have been working on both practice and contest schedules based on institutional and conference parameters. Our spring sports (baseball, men's golf, women's golf, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, and men's & women's outdoor track & field) have contests scheduled starting March 20. We are currently listing only those contests scheduled prior to the College's Commencement.

Flexibility and patience are key as we move forward. We know things will change. To be sure, we are proceeding with caution. Our ability to play at any time this semester will be largely dependent on the institutional and local public health landscape; both ours and our opponent(s). Administrators from each institution will be in contact with each other prior to each scheduled competition to evaluate the institutional and local public health landscapes. Updates to schedules will be posted on WoosterAthletics.com and shared on the athletic department's social media accounts.

Please see the links below to access individual sport schedules, which will include links to live stats & live video, when available. Please note at this time, our streaming schedule for home events is set through March 6, 2021 and we will set that schedule on a week-by-week basis. Opponent schedules will be checked the week of when we're scheduled to play them and live stat & live video links they may be providing will be added at that time.

Open Spectator Policy, effective April 2, 2021

Dear Wooster families and friends,

I am excited to announce that effective April 2, 2021, we will welcome a limited number of spectators to campus for each of our home events! Each College of Wooster student-athlete on the team (first-years, sophomores, juniors, and seniors) can invite a maximum of two outside guests (except tennis at Aspen Racquet Club, which has a policy of only one guest per athlete^). There are no visiting team spectators allowed. Please recognize that our ability to continue this through the semester will be dependent on our campus remaining healthy.

The health and safety of The College of Wooster student-athletes, coaches, and staff is our highest priority, and we ask your partnership as we expand our spectator policy. One positive case will pause a team's practice and contests until contact tracing is complete. A positive case can result in quarantining a lot of people which may affect the team's ability to return to practice or competition. And as we have seen, even one case on a team can result in the opposing team cancelling a contest. We sincerely want to provide a positive experience for our student-athletes, and your cooperation to our spectator policy and campus guidelines can help us accomplish that.

Current Wooster Students (in residence), Faculty, and Staff

  • All students in residence, faculty, and staff who participate in our regular testing protocols may attend any home event (exception for tennis at Aspen Racquet Club listed below^).
  • All students, faculty, and staff must show their "Good to Go" badge for entry.
  • Students, faculty, and staff will be seated apart from other individuals and family groups to maintain social distance.
  • See below for spectator policies.

Family Guests of Current College of Wooster Student-Athletes

  • All family guests of current student-athletes must be preregistered for the event they are attending. Student-athletes on each team will be able to designate two guests to attend each home game (exception for tennis at Aspen Racquet Club listed below^).
  • Contact your team member to register.
  • Registration will close at 4 p.m. ET the day before each home event.
  • Upon arrival, present identification that matches name on registration.
  • Spectators are asked to conduct daily symptom assessments; anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home.
  • Family members may sit together, socially distanced from other individuals and family groups.
  • Six-feet social distancing must be maintained between individuals and family groups.
  • See below for spectator policies.

There are NO visiting team spectators allowed at any of our events

READ the spectator policies for the other North Coast Athletic Conference institutions HERE.

^Tennis at Aspen Racquet Club: Due to the club's visitor policy, all guests (current students, faculty, staff, and family guests) must register in advance for tennis events. First priority will be given to family guests. There are no visiting team spectators allowed.

  2021 Spring Spectator Policies

  • All spectators must check in with the ushers upon arrival to the venue.
  • Family guests will be required to show ID; students, faculty, and staff will be required to show "Good to Go" badge.
  • There are no visiting team spectators allowed.
  • Socially distanced seating will be available in designated areas for sports/venues^ on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Registered guests of student-athletes will receive first priority on designated seating.
    • ^no seating areas provided at Aspen Racquet Club and Wooster Country Club
  • All spectators are expected to maintain campus masking and social distancing rules; no gathering with students.
    • Students are reminded that mitigation strategies, such as masking and maintaining a distance of six feet from others, will help ensure students are not named as a "close contact" in the event a fellow spectator becomes COVID-19 positive.
  • Spectators should not congregate near team personnel, including student-athletes, coaches, officials and game management personnel.
  • Spectators should remember that The College of Wooster campus is closed to visitors; this spectator policy is an exception to the current visitor protocols. Visitors are asked to leave the venue at the conclusion of the competition and not hang around on campus.
  • Students are expected to adhere to the Community Care Agreement and the campus operational framework guidelines.
    • Students should not leave campus with guests.
  • No guests permitted in college buildings (Lowry Center, residential spaces, library, etc) with exception of Bookstore and Post Office.
  • Public restrooms are available at the competition venue or in the Scot Center.
  • No alcohol or tobacco products permitted.
  • No pets permitted in the Scot Center.
  • No pets permitted in bleachers.
  • There will be no concession sales.
  • There will be no tailgating; guest provide team snacks (individually wrapped) are permissible.

I thank everyone for their patience as we got our athletic seasons underway and reviewed the health of our campus.  Working together, I am confident we can provide a positive student-experience for our students this spring.

For those who can't attend our events on campus, we will continue livestreaming as many events as possible; the streaming schedule can be found on our schedule pages at www.woosterathletics.com.

I look forward to seeing you at our contests this spring!

Go Scots!

FAQs on Streaming:

Wooster is committed to livestreaming as many official varsity contests played in Wooster as possible, free of charge. Wooster's streaming schedule will be set on a week-by-week basis moving forward. Home games being streamed will have links on the schedule pages no later than noon on Wednesdays for that week. Opponents set their own streaming schedules, so that availability differs by institution.

Where can I find streaming links?

• The sport schedule links above are your recommended first stop to find live stat & live video links for home & away events, as streaming is run by the host institution.

• We will leave the live video links for games that are streamed up on the schedule after the games for contests you are able to watch on-demand (after the game).

• The links will also be tweeted out on the athletic Twitter account on the days we have events. You can view our Twitter account without having an account by visiting twitter.com/woostersports

• The main link for home official varsity contests played in Wooster is portal.stretchinternet.com/wooster

How do I watch games on-demand (after the game ends)?

• The sport schedule links above are your recommended first stop to find the live video link, as road game streams that are available for on-demand viewing will direct you to a different spot than home games.

• For Wooster home games, you can also visit portal.stretchinternet.com/wooster and click on the on-demand tab for the list of available HOME games you can view after the fact.

• Wooster home games streamed during the spring 2021 semester WILL NOT be password protected. Should you want to view game(s) still available from the 2019-20 academic year, the password is #goscots (case sensitive) and the password ONLY works for games played at Wooster.
