Whether you are a former Fighting Scot or an enthusiastic fan, your support of Wooster's student-athlete experience makes you a Scot for life! Thanks to the Fighting Scots Fund, our annual athletics fund that supports all 23 varsity sports at Wooster, our almost 600 student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff can compete at the highest levels. Your gift to the Fighting Scots Fund provides every team with funds for the following and more:
- Outfitting our student-athletes in Wooster apparel
- Strength and conditioning equipment
- Travel expenses, including international trip
- Facility enhancements
- Technology and analytics
Make a gift through 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 4 to be part of the Athletics Day of Giving and make a difference for the Fighting Scots! You can designate a portion of your gift to directly support the student-athlete experience of a team or teams of your choosing and track your team's progress through the day. Thanks to generous donors, over $40,000 in gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.
Wooster's Fighting Scots continuously excel athletically and academically. Recent significant accomplishments include:
- The establishment of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, which recognized 279 Fighting Scots – approximately 48 percent of student-athletes – for having at least a 3.5 GPA during the fall semester
- Football's Lake Barrett '23 earning Wooster's 15th NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship since 2018.
- Track & Field's Ainsley Wiesner placing fifth at the NCAA Div. III Championships in the weight throw to lead a trio of All-Americans
- Women's Golf's historic fall saw the program win a single-season-best four tournaments
- Our Fighting Scots continue to impact the community in positive and meaningful ways, led by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's "Adopt-A-Family" service program
