A: To challenge myself academically and athletically while building relationships with friends and faculty that will last a lifetime.

Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: To have a tremendous work ethic and care for yourself and your fellow Fighting Scots.

Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: My favorite memories are traveling with the team to various places and winning games.

Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The relationships you build with your teammates, coaches, and professors.

Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: My Independent Study advisor, Dr. (Setsuko) Matsuzawa, has been incredible helping me with my research topic, graduate school applications, and future career plans.

Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: The STEM Zonehas helped me a lot with my success in the classroom, particularly with my minor in biology.

Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: My research focuses on sociocultural and biomechanical impacts of throwing velocity in professional baseball pitchers. I am studying three geographical regions, North America, Latin America, and Eastern Asia, to see how pitchers from these areas are similar and different. The goal of my I.S. is to help Major League Baseball organizations have a better understanding of how to scout and develop prospects into a championship-caliber team.

Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: I interned at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, leading up to my senior year. I worked with the faculty and staff in The College of Natural, Health, and Behavioral Sciences and the Office of Advancement.

Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year (freshman) self?
A: Enjoy and cherish every moment because four years seems like a blink of an eye.
