The College of Wooster athletic department has announced that Heather Conklin (women's lacrosse), Keetrone Singleton (football), and Jack Stevens (men's basketball) have joined the staff as assistant coaches.

Conklin, a three-time Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association all-region selection, arrives at the College fresh off a standout career at The College at Brockport, State University of New York. There, the 2021 State University of New York Athletic Conference Player of the Year and four-time first-team all-conference selection helped the Golden Eagles to a 53-21 record, a SUNYAC title, and two appearances in the NCAA Div. III Championships. Conklin scored a program-record 222 goals and holds the single-season program mark with 71 in 2019. The five-year staple tallied 247 draw controls, 120 groundballs, 66 caused turnovers, and 53 assists during her career.

While in college, Conklin gained coaching experience as a club coach with Relentless Hustle out of Rochester, New York. Additionally, she worked in building management, game operations, and athletic communications as a student, and did a semester-long internship with the associate athletic director at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Conklin graduated with a sport management degree and furthered her education with a master's in athletic administration at Brockport.

Singleton, a 2021 College of Wooster alumnus, has joined the ranks of the Fighting Scots' football staff, where he'll mentor the strong safeties.

As a player, Singleton was a regular in the rotation at slot receiver and filled a variety of roles on special teams. His first collegiate reception was a historical one in the record book. That came at Hiram College in 2017, and the touchdown marked the Scots' seventh passing one in the game, which established a new single-game program benchmark.

Singleton played in 17 career games, had three receptions for 11 yards, and a touchdown. He also had three receptions for 26 yards in exhibition action this spring.

A theatre and dance alumnus, Singleton served as the Black Student Association event coordinator on campus, worked in the theatre and dance department's costume shop, and was on the athletic director search committee in 2020.

Stevens, a 2021 College of Wooster alumnus, was instrumental in the Fighting Scots' success during his time as a student. He's been elevated to a full-time role after helping the program immensely as a student assistant. In that role, Stevens had a part in the Scots' recruiting efforts, and aided with skill development workouts, scouting reports, practices, and on-campus visits. Wooster went 70-25 during Stevens' time as a student assistant, won a North Coast Athletic Conference title, and made three appearances in the NCAA Div. III Championships.

Stevens has other experience as a basketball skills trainer, an AAU coach, and he's worked numerous high-level camps over the years.

He graduated in May with a degree in education and history.
