Papp Stadium for a 1:30 p.m. contest on Saturday, October 29. Wooster, coming off a 49-7 win over Hilbert College, enters the week tied for sixth-place in the NCAC. Wittenberg, which lost 28-10 to Denison University last Saturday, is tied with the Big Red for third-place in the conference.

MCTV is not covering this week's game, but it will still be shown on delay on Ch. 22 and Ch. 621 early next week. Customers in Wayne and Stark Counties should consult local listings for replay times. All-Time Series: Wittenberg leads the all-time series 42-12-1 and has won the last 12 meetings. The teams first met in 1912, a game won by Wooster 12-0. In fact, Wooster won the first two meetings in the series by identical 12-0 scores. Wooster's last win in the series came in 2008, when the Scots thumped the Tigers 27-6 in the season finale of an 8-2 campaign.

Last Meeting: More records were set in the 2021 finale, where the Scots were unable to upend the Tigers, falling 44-29 at Edwards-Maurer Field on November 13. Alumnus Dylan Carr picked off Wittenberg at Wooster's 2-yard line in the fourth quarter. Bryant Douglas II had a step on his man, caught senior Mateo Renteria's (Houston, Texas/Cypress Creek) pass in stride, and stayed ahead of the Tigers chasing after him on his way to a 98-yard touchdown reception. That completion broke Wooster's record, which was previously a 91-yard touchdown pass from Vic Rowcliffe to Phil Puryear at Case Western Reserve University in 1990. Additionally, it tied the NCAC record for longest touchdown pass. During the game, Renteria surpassed alumnus Gary Muntean for most passing yards in a single season, and ended the year at 3,237.

Last Time Out: Wooster rolled past Hilbert 49-7 on Saturday at John P. Papp Stadium. The Scots tallied 505 yards of offense, 80 of which came from first-year Jarvis Mims Jr. (Baxley, Ga./Appling County) on a touchdown run just before halftime. Mims Jr. rushed for 112 yards on eight carries. As a team, Wooster averaged 5.7 yards per carry and went for 261 yards on 46 carries. Senior Troy Baughman (McKinney, Texas/Frisco Independence) caught two touchdown passes, while junior Joshua Pond (Highland Hts., Ky./Campbell County) caught the Scots' third passing touchdown of the afternoon. Defensively, the Scots forced two turnovers with senior Quincy Taylor (McDonough, Ga./Forest Park) and first-year Paul Ehenger (Salem, Ore./South Salem) forcing fumbles that were recovered by junior Alex White (Fayetteville, Ga./Fayette County) and first-year Andrew Andrade (Stockton, Calif./St. Mary's), respectively.

Offense Notes: Baughman moved into Wooster's top-10 list for career receptions on Saturday. He now has 107 and is 55 yards shy of 1,000 for his career. The five-year standout has nine career receiving touchdowns. Wooster is currently averaging 3.8 yards per rush. Should that hold over the last three games of the year, it would mark the highest per-carry season average since the Scots averaged 4.0 yards per rush in 2014. In 2014, Wooster rushed for 1,729 net yards on 436 carries. Renteria is up to 9,325 career passing yards and 72 career passing touchdowns. He completed 14-of-18 passes for 210 yards and two scores against Hilbert.

Defense Notes: Wooster is tops in the NCAC with nine fumble recoveries, a total that ranks 14th in Div. III. Individually, senior Matt Ulishney (Greensburg, Pa./Serra District Catholic) is tied for the conference lead with two fumble recoveries, and only 14 players in Div. III have recovered more fumbles this fall than him. Ulishney continues to rank in the top-10 nationally in tackles (11.4 per game) and is fourth with 7.4 solo stops per Saturday. Wooster's now 10-2 under 10th-year head coach Frank Colaprete when holding the opposition to under 300 yards of offense. Last Saturday's marked the fewest yards allowed by Wooster's defense since Kenyon College mustered just 149 in the 2019 meeting between the programs.

Special Teams Notes: Senior Matt Pardi (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty) is now third in Div. III with 44.0 yards per punt. The four-year starter has a long of 62 on the year and has placed nine of his 30 boots inside the 20-yard line. Senior Lake Barrett (Columbia, S.C./Hammond School) is three extra-point makes shy of 100 for his career. He is looking to become the third Scot to hit 100 for his career. The others are Richie McNally, who was 172-for-185 from 2001-04 and Trevor Bowden, who went 126-for-133 from 2014-17.

This and That: A Wooster win gives the program three wins in October for the third time since 2017. Wooster is in search of its first three-game winning streak since the 2018 season when the Scots topped Oberlin College (27-21), Hiram College (28-21), and Kenyon (41-0). Wooster has won its last three games that took place on October 29.
