The College of Wooster scored three times during the final 10 minutes, breaking a 2-2 tie and surviving a scare from Oberlin College Wednesday, as the Fighting Scots prevailed 5-2 in the squads' North Coast Athletic Conference field hockey contest at Oberlin, Ohio.

Despite holding a 24-4 shot advantage with 10:01 remaining, Wooster (5-5, 4-2 NCAC) found itself in a dead heat with Oberlin (4-6, 2-5 NCAC) after the hosts scored for a second time. The Scots responded right away, as Nikki Sever scored an unassisted goal 89 seconds after the Yeowomen had evened it.

Shortly after, Wooster tacked on two more, both scores courtesy of Clare Nelson-Johnson, which put the Scots comfortably ahead by three with 5:21 left.

During the first half, Oberlin opened the scoring, but Amanda Graeser connected on two Wooster goals for a 2-1 lead.

In addition to the Scots' goal scorers, Isabelle Howes was credited with two assists, Graeser one, and Katie Furbee one.

Wooster will be home this Saturday against archrival Wittenberg University (4-5, 3-3 NCAC) at 10 a.m.
