DePauw University used a steady offensive attack and stout play on defense to win its 12th-straight field hockey game, dropping The College of Wooster 4-0 in a North Coast Athletic Conference match-up Saturday afternoon at Greencastle, Ind.

The Tigers (12-1, 9-0 NCAC) only allowed the Fighting Scots (7-9, 6-6 NCAC) to fire off three shots in the contest, while their offense totaled 15 shot attempts, including four that rattled the cage.

Kimberly Trainor scored just 2:30 into the action, and then Bridgette Shamleffer added a pair of goals near the 9:00 and 22:00 minute marks to give her team a 3-0 lead at the break.

Wooster clamped down a bit in the second half, allowing just five shots and one goal to Margaret Ellis in the 41st minute, but the Scot offense still wasn't able to penetrate a DePauw defense that has allowed just three goals in conference play all season long.

Lauren Grimanis, Anna Divis, and Katie Furbee were credited with shot attempts in the match.

Next, Wooster will host Oberlin College Oct. 25 at 4:30 p.m.
