For the second day in a row, The College of Wooster field hockey team was dealt a tough, one-goal loss, as SUNY Oneonta scored late in regulation to send the game to overtime, and then the Red Dragons netted the game-winner in the 82nd minute to drop the Fighting Scots 4-3 Sunday afternoon in a neutral site tilt at Utica, N.Y.

Clare Nelson-Johnson scored her second goal of the game midway through the second half to give the Scots (0-2) a 3-2 lead, and it appeared that margin was going to hold up, until Ashley Johnson gathered the ball off of a deflection and beat the 'keeper with just 39 seconds remaining on the clock to send the game to overtime.

In the extra period, Wooster had a pair of shots on goal off the sticks of Kate Brondyk and Nikki Sever, but Red Dragons' (2-0) goalkeeper Tess Tracy made saves on both attempts. Finally, at the 81:52 mark, Aundrea Day pumped in her second of the day, and it held up over the next three minutes as the game-winning goal.

Trailing 1-0 after SUNY Oneonta scored about eight minutes into the game, Wooster knotted things up at 1-1 when Anna Divis made a defensive save, and moments later, Brondyk scored in transition. The Scots let up another goal less than two minutes later, but again were able to tie the game, as Nelson-Johnson delivered off of a feed from Brondyk just before halftime.

Josie Rey was also credited with a defensive save in the game, while goalkeeper Carrie Mount notched double-digit saves (13) for the second straight game.

Wooster will look for its first win of the season in its home opener Wednesday, when North Coast Athletic Conference opponent Denison University visits John P. Papp Stadium.
