The College of Wooster field hockey team took 21 shots and only yielded one, and three of its attempts were true, resulting in a Fighting Scots' 3-0 shutout victory over Earlham College Saturday afternoon in a North Coast Athletic Conference meeting at Richmond, Ind.

Wooster (8-5, 7-3 NCAC), now on a five-game winning streak, received goals from Clare Nelson-Johnson and Nikki Sever during the opening half. Sever assisted Nelson-Johnson's tally midway through the stanza, then she scored herself unassisted with no time remaining for the 2-0 advantage.

In the second half, it was Isabelle Howes delivering a goal off a pass from Nelson-Johnson, and defensively for the Scots, Carrie Mount completed the shutout while not having to make a save.

Wooster remains in Indiana where it will face DePauw University (13-1, 10-0 NCAC) Sunday, beginning at 11 a.m.
