DePauw Snaps Wooster's Five-Game Win Streak

The College of Wooster field hockey team had its five-game winning streak snapped Sunday afternoon, as DePauw University continued its undefeated run through the North Coast Athletic Conference with a 2-0 victory over the Scots at a windy and overcast Greencastle, Ind.

The Tigers (14-1, 11-0 NCAC) have been the Scots' (8-6, 7-4 NCAC) nemesis since joining the NCAC last season, as they have won all five meetings between the two teams. Today, the Tigers held the Scots to just one shot attempt, while firing off 19 of their own, including a pair of goals by Maggie Campbell which created the 2-0 scoring margin.

It was Clare Nelson-Johnson that recorded Wooster's lone shot attempt late in the first half. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Carrie Mount made seven saves in the setback, with five coming in the second half.

Next up, Wooster will host Ohio Wesleyan University (8-6, 6-5 NCAC) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
