Mount Matches Career-High 13 Saves in Loss at No. 16 DePauw

After defeating Earlham College 5-0 on Saturday, the tables were turned on The College of Wooster field hockey team during its second game in Indiana over the weekend, with No. 16 DePauw University taking a 5-0 decision in a North Coast Athletic Conference tilt Sunday afternoon at Greencastle, Ind.

Senior goalkeeper Carrie Mount, who wound up equaling a career high with 13 saves, and the defense kept Wooster (4-4, 2-2 NCAC) within striking distance throughout the first half, holding nationally-ranked DePauw (7-1, 3-1 NCAC) to two goals.

The difference in the game came early in the second, as the Tigers scored twice just :24 apart.

Shortly after, the Fighting Scots put together some offensive runs into the box, with shots coming from Julia Franceschi, Leah Prescott, Claire Moffett, and Anjela Galimberti twice.

Wooster has another important conference game this Wednesday at home against Denison University (3-3, 3-1 NCAC) at 4:30 p.m.
